As an EMC Engineer, you will: - Perform EMI/ESD testing and troubleshooting and provide recommendations for mitigation where needed. - Engage in problem solving activities to address tool/facility emissions and immunity issues. This will involve identification of root-cause and solution implementation and verification. Typical job tasks include: - Developing models for interference to allow identification coupling mechanisms, testing shielding integrity, circuit/cable interface isolation and use the models to mitigate and control conducted/radiated emissions on production and lab equipment. - Creating test reports, procedures, troubleshooting specifications, control plans and guidelines. - Understand and interpret EMI/EMC installation requirements for lab and production equipment and propose installation changes/mitigation needed to ensure proper equipment operation. - Survey production and lab areas and develop contour maps of magnetic and electric fields and assembly and production areas for ESD phenomena and propose mitigation as needed.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: - Minimum of MS in Electrical Engineering or Physics, PhD preferred. - Applicants must have a legal right to work in the US without sponsorship. Additional Qualifications: - Clear Understanding of EMC standards (FCC part 15, CISPR, ETSI, etc.), ESD association standards and CE Mark requirements (EN 610000) , IEC standards. - Familiarity and hands on-experience with emissions and Immunity testing, including Conducted RF Emissions/ Immunity, Radiated RF Emissions/ Immunity, Conducted Transient Emissions, Magnetic Field Emissions. - Familiarity and hands-on experience with ESD/EMI testing. - Familiarity with equipment and safety grounding and testing, qualification and troubleshooting of grounding systems. - Knowledge and familiarity with EMI Instrumentation (i.e., receivers, power amplifiers, TWT amplifiers, oscilloscopes, function generators, antennas, etc.). - Experience in software modeling of EMC phenomena. - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
