Qualifications:B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience required, M.S. desiredExtensive knowledge and experience in Unix/Linux command system Capable to maintain scripts in Bourne and other shells (i.e. Bash and Korn (ksh))Knowledge of C/C++ and PythonProficiency with the GNU development tools and autotools kitsExpert knowledge and experience using a well-used, modern Version/Source Control system (e.g. Git, SVN, Mercurial)Willingness to work with all types of engineers as a service provider to the team members, making processes for the development engineers as simple as possible to help keep the project highly productivity and high quality, without acting as an obstructionist/product prevention role.Acceptance that the choice and changing of the version system tools is not the candidate's to make; rather the candidate must use the tools given and can enhance/augment but not replace.Preferred experience:Familiarity in other high-level programming languages (i.e. Fortran)Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft productivity toolsKnowledge of the Intel development tool chain a plusWorking knowledge of RCS, CVS, Subversion and SCCSSome knowledge of HPC system architecture
