Senior Privacy & Security Attorney

Job Description
Job Description: In this position, you will be acting as a senior legal counsel for a Fortune 100 company, reporting to the Chief Privacy Security Counsel. You will represent a diverse group of global clients on legal issues related to privacy, data and cybersecurity, and compliance, and work in a team environment with other legal and business professionals around the world. Your responsibilities will include: A main focus on providing privacy and security due diligence, integration, and coordination for acquired companies and investments Counseling clients on all aspects of domestic and international laws concerning privacy, data security, and cybersecurity Assisting business teams on incorporating privacy by design into products/services and adopting innovative privacy solutions from inception to end-of-life Providing privacy and security impact assessments and compliance counseling to business teams, including growth businesses and new technologies Counseling clients on privacy and security incident preparedness and management Researching and tracking global privacy and security legislation, evolving regulations, and enforcement and translating that into practical advice Training employees and other attorneys on privacy and security legal compliance Working with the Government and Policy Group, other attorneys, the Intel Privacy Office, and other colleagues regarding new laws, regulations, and guidelines that may affect Intel's business Contributing to our ongoing mission to maximize Intel's impact through personal empowerment, practical solutions, and optimal results on complex global privacy and security risks and opportunities


Qualifications

Ideally the candidate has following experience and personal skills: J.D. with a minimum of 7 years of relevant legal experience Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar Strong substantive knowledge of US privacy and Data Protection law, including emerging trends in the various states, and a working knowledge of international privacy laws, particularly in the EU Ability to independently manage a diverse and complex workload while maintaining priorities and proactively anticipating issues Consistent good judgment and ability to apply legal knowledge to help create practical business solutions Strong teaming skills; approaches work with flexibility and a positive attitude, and constructively manages change Strong strategic thinking and project management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills A sense of humor Experience in the computer industry and/or in-house legal work would be an added advantage, as well as CIPP certification
