Job Description
Direct materials buyer position responsible for materials requirement planning, purchasing, req to settlement management and inventory management including shopping cart purchase in support of System ad Board high volume manufacturing of outsource business networks in Malaysia, China, Taiwan, Thailand, US and Europe . Details of responsibilities are as follows but not limited to - Consigned Materials Supply Lines planning and Inventory Management based on MRP- Partnership with Supply Demand Analyst and Supply Demand Manager on planning model, line loading strategy to optimize the supply chain- Partnership with CM/MPM/Fin to develop materials strategy to best meet business requirement - Manage inventory levels to DOI target, timely review & disposition of EOL/non moving excess - PO line management & maintenance - issue new PO, pull in, push out and cancellation & inventory cross site leveling reacting to latest demand - Shopping cart purchase from distributors bridge materials supply gaps- QAN/ECO process management on affected consigned materials supply lines - Execute to procurement model changes (Materials conversion activities i.e. Turnkey to Consignment, Consignment to Turnkey ) - Own the role to resolve payment issues with supplier and AP - Facilitates finished goods POs to ODM upon GAR NPI notice - Facilitates engineering POs and NRE POs to contract manufacturer or ODMs per shopping carts - Coordinate with CM/ODM, OPM and AP to resolve payment issue- Work on lean and improvement projects to drive productivity and efficiency- Expected to work in compliance to control requirements


Qualifications

- a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting Economics/Supply Chain. Experience in materials field would be an added advantage. - Strong analytical skills- Excellent orientation for details- Good at desktop work and standard Microsoft Office software- Ability to write and communicate well in English- Knowledge of SAP would be an added advantage
