Data Collection Engineer

Job Description
Help define and own creation of data collection protocols and document, support, and train users of the protocol. Collection and scrubbing of data collected on a wireless wearable device for delivery to engineering teams. Includes validation that data was collected correctly. Configure HW and SW used for data collection. Provide first level support to HW and SW used in data collection with internal engineering team and external test data suppliers. Participate in the data forensic, debugging of tools, SW, validation of fixes Equipment management for lab apparatus (inventory, shipping, documentation, ordering, troubleshooting)

Qualifications:You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. Minimum Qualifications: Must be pursuing a BS in software engineering, mathematics or related.2 years of scripting experience in high-level languages such as Python, debug scripts in Python, programs in C, Windows and UNIX.1 year experience installing SW packages, check performance, and HW 1 year experience with data acquisition methodology, test engineering, and/or sensor data collection and processing Additional Qualifications:General wireless networking skills: setup WiFi access points, manage frequency plan, and debug throughput issues. Solid PC client OS management skills (file manipulation) Demonstrated attention to detail and can take direction and follow-through on detailed task assignments PC hardware system configuration and integration experience (equipment I/O, peripheral device connectivity) Experience with web/cloud tools and services and developer collaboration tools (GoogleDrive, Confluence) Knowledge of video playback and recording formats and PC based image capture devices a plus
