Business Technical Support Intern 2017

Job Description
In this position, you will be part of the Endpoint/Malware Product Specialist Team, who support business customers throughout the EMEA region. On a daily basis you will work with some of Intel Security’s most valuable customers, assisting them in the use of ISEG products and services to the highest levels. You will be relied upon to deliver truly outstanding levels of service The role consists of both reactive issue resolution and pro-active communication. You will be coordinating Malware Escalations, understanding and experiencing front line Malware outbreaks, and providing support for our leading endpoint products. We will be providing a solid grounding, for a career in Security within a company, which is renowned as a Global Security leader Responsibilities include, but not be limited to: • Supporting Endpoint / Malware Team with Escalations, including information requests and managing customer technical issues to resolution, maintaining proactive communication • Provide technical support for Intel Security Business Support Customers. • Working on Service Request / Support allocations, as well as internal improvement projects • Provide administrative support, including producing weekly reports for management • Log all activity associated with any service request in our CRM system so that a complete and thorough record is maintained for the customer and Company. • Act as a point of contact between McAfee labs Business Support. • Liaising with internal global teams to identify and Implement beneficial opportunities. The role will suit enthusiastic and confident undergraduate with excellent communication skills, with a desire to learn new skills and work as part of a highly skilled support team.


Qualifications

Qualifications: This is a 13 month fixed-term placement suitable for students currently studying a degree course in relevant disciplines, and is targeted at 2nd year students enrolled in a 4 years bachelor's degree which includes a year in industry. Essential Skills Required: • Ability to quickly learn about new products and technologies • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English • Capable of working unsupervised by prioritizing work and focusing on meeting agreed objectives in required time-frame, • Ability to integrate quickly with existing team so that maximum contribution to team goals can be achieved rapidly • Excellent analytical problem solving skills • Good attention to detail • Confident working in a customer facing environment • Project management experience Skills/Knowledge, although not essential, we would like to you have knowledge of: • Desktop and/or notebook hardware familiarity (practical skills) • PC hardware and software architecture familiarity • Understanding of basic server and network • Ability to build and debug typical PC and Server software, install and debug typical operating systems including both Microsoft Windows* and various distributions of Linux* • Microsoft Windows* Operating System familiarity beyond that of a general user • Solid understanding and experience in deploying and/or support Windows* client and/or server environment • Keen personal interest in computing would be an added advantage • Interest in Security • Interest in Malware Threat landscape • Fluency in a European language is useful but not essential
