Senior Hardware FPGA Engineer

Job Description
Join our Exascale System Architecture Pathfinding team as a Senior Hardware Engineer designing scalable computer systems using Intel Processors and Network Components for High-Performance Computing (HPC) applications and be in the forefront of system hardware innovation! We are looking for an FPGA design engineer to work on networking pathfinding concepts. As a member of the team, you will work closely with architects and design engineers to customize network design based on performance, power, and cost requirements. The work would involve but is not limited to: - FPGA resource analysis and programmable logic device selection; - Definition and implementation of a network fabric interface architecture; - Definition and implementation of application acceleration architecture; - Redesign and development of existing RTL for meeting/improving performance requirements; - Platform level integration; - And lots of other cool things!


Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: - Must have a BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with at least 6 years of experience or MS with 4 years of experience - RTL Coding in VHDL or Verilog for ASIC or FPGA designs - Understanding of FPGA design flow (synthesis, place route) - Strong understanding of software and hardware interaction - Ability to read and understand schematic designs - Working knowledge of networking concepts (Ethernet, Infiniband, Omni-Path) - Excellent verbal and written skills to interact with design teams Desired skills: - Understanding of microprocessor architecture concepts - 5+ years experience working in SoC FPGA RTL design and validation - Design of SoCs or high complexity IP blocks - Experience with Altera Tool Suites - High level language programming (C, C++, OpenCL) - Experience with script languages (Python, Perl, Ruby)
