Pre-Sales Engineer (IPS & Web Security), Madrid, Spain

Provide support to direct sales team advising customers on Intel Security solutions and strategies. The Sales Systems Engineer (SE) will recommend Intel Security solutions and at the same time develop a business relationship enabling the customer to enhance their datacentre security. The SE is expected to help define, accelerate and close solutions to enterprise businesses within a defined set of accounts. The candidate must perform a variety of tasks including product overviews, customised presentations and demonstrations, complex solution design, security surveys, proposal development, advanced product evaluations and product feature/benefit discussions. The ability to sell solutions in conjunction with Professional Services colleagues is also key to enable true solution selling.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exemplary pre-sales technical expertise through technical and product presentations, product demonstrations, pilot implementations, beta program administration, consistent communication, and on-going technical consultation
  • Provide technical escalation management within accounts
  • Play a pro-active "Technical Account Management" role within your target accounts including relationship and business development activities
  • Work in conjunction with Sales, Marketing, and Product Managers, the Sales Engineer (SE) to be the technical bridge between our Sales Representatives and their pre-sales customers. Developing Technical account plans in alignment with sales account plans
  • Take ownership of the prime technical relationship with our pre-sales customers to drive customer satisfaction by proactively managing and delivering technical information to our customers both onsite, online, and via telephone


Qualifications

  • Strong Understanding of security technologies including but not limited to web security, network security (IPS) and cloud technologies 
  • Must be comfortable contributing at all levels within targeted accounts
  • Communicates effectively verbally including excellent presentation skills, (experience of presenting to large audiences e.g. conferences); communicates clearly in writing; strong relationship building skills
  • Previous experience required in Information Technology with emphasis on managing a distributed environment supporting disparate systems and/or providing Pre-Sales support in an equivalent environment
  • At least 3-6 years customer facing Sales/Systems Engineering exp.
